Pearl R. Miller Memories: Taking turns giving weather reports along with the morning announcements - Our first lockers! - Getting to be Mrs. Knupple on Teacher-For-A-Day - Our math teacher making one of my friends reach for a piece of chalk he had placed on the top edge of the blackboard in order to teach her not to wear mini-skirts to school - Mr. Ferraris ability to silence a room with one eyebrow (which I learned how to do and have passed along to my son) - Mr. Borodins passion for music (REAL passion, not just love) - Getting caught by Mr. Goerig while passing a note to Michelle Buselli (time stood still while he started to read it out loud - except what I had written was You wouldnt believe what someone wrote on my desk! Mr. Goerig has a moose c*ck! so I was frozen when he reached the crucial line - he turned beet red, stuffed the note in his pocket and never looked me in the eye again lol) - Congregating en masse in the cafeteria for inoculations - And, speaking of the cafeteria, I thought lunch cards were super cool and that it was a sign of advancing maturity not to be bringing lunch from home - Favorite Gym Class Days: those involving that giant canvas ball or dollies; when we combined them, I was thrilled! - Getting a C in Gym for refusing to wear those horrible green uniforms (I showed up and did everything in my cut offs and t-shirts, thankyouverymuch) - Sewing a skirt made of red bandana material while 77 WABC blasted (She was black as the night... Louie was whiter than white...) - Industrial Arts!! (It was oh so groundbreaking for girls to be taking IA - nowadays, neither Home Ec nor IA classes even exist anymore - such a shame!) - Dancing the Hustle and the Bump at school dances - And, of course, the Best. Day. EVER: Field Day!!! - My final memory didnt take place while I attended PRM, but, later - in high school, a new boy moved to town and thought I was cute (he hadnt gotten the memo about boys not liking me and this thoroughly threw me) and he ended up kissing me against the wall in front of Pearl R. Miller, so, it counts as a PRM memory for me. :-)
