Pearl Ratcliffe 89, of Glenhayes, WV, went home to be with The Lord on March 24, 2014. He was a retired signal maintainer for the Norfolk & Southern Railroad, an avid fisherman and farmer, and was a member of the Big Hurricane Missionary Baptist Church. Pearl was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery Earl; two brothers, Roy and Bill Ratcliffe; and a sister, Jewel Maynard. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Opal (Judy) Ratcliffe; sons, John (Hope) Ratcliffe of Kenova, WV, Mike (Susan) Ratcliffe of Fort Gay, WV, Randy (Claudia) Ratcliffe of Fort Gay, WV, and Paul (Terry) Ratcliffe of Prichard, WV; one daughter, Jeanette Ratcliffe of Prichard, WV, and seven grandchildren; Heather Ferguson, Summer Ratcliffe, Rhonda Ratcliffe, Christy Pratt, Michael Ratcliffe, Justin Ratcliffe, Laura Campbell, and Jordan Ratcliffe and sixteen great grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister, Anna Lou Maynard. Pearl was Blessed with many friends and wonderful neighbors. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, March 28, 2014 at Young Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tony Perry officiating. Burial will follow at the Ratcliffe Family Cemetery, Glenhayes. Visitation will be from 6:00 til 9:00 PM Thursday at Young Funeral Home
