Pelon Stirling returns to IPC The popular 10-goaler Pelon Stirling is returning to the International Polo Club for the 2015 season if rumors are correct. It is believed that he will join Julio Arellano, Sugar Erskine and Gillian Johnston for the 26-goal season. Sterling made his debut at the International Polo Club in 2007 playing with Adolfo Cambiaso, Matias Magrini and George Rawlings on the Crab Orchard team that won both the USPA Gold Cup and the US Open Championship. Stirling went on to join the new La Dolfina lineup in Argentina where he lined up with 10-goalers Cambiaso, Pablo MacDonough and Juan Martin Nero. Playing as a 40-goal team, La Dolfina dominated open play in Argentina, sweeping the high-goal season in 2013 and winning the Argentine Triple Crown of polo with title wins in the Tortugas Open, the Hurlingham Open and the Argentine Open at Palermo. Stirling also found success with Valiente where he joined Cambiaso, Santi Torres and team patron Bob Jornayvaz. Stirling was absent from the IPC scene last year, spending the winter season competing in Dubai. The addition of Stirling to the Coca-Cola lineup give them an exceptional player to compliment the ranks as they take the field in the club’s C. V. Whitney Cup, the USPA Piaget Gold Cup and the US Open Championship.
