PennDOT has announced that beginning today - Monday, July 14, prime contractor Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc. of State College will begin placing bituminous courses in the area of Sylvan Oaks Drive. This will result in delays at the intersection of approximately 15 minutes. Traffic in the area will be controlled by flaggers. All work is weather dependent. During the 2014 season the contractor will replace the three box culverts, widen portions of the roadway, add the two turning lanes, upgrade guiderail and resurface the roadway. This work will be done under daylight traffic control and temporary signals at the bridges. All work on this $4.5 million project will be completed by mid-November, 2014.
