We are setting up the Learning Disability Alliance to stick up for people with learning disabilities. Why doesnt your organisation join? centreforwelfarereform.org/news/join-the-leaity-alliance/00171.html The Learning Disability Alliance for England Getting Involved The Campaign for a Fair Society in England has come together with three other organisations to establish the Alliance: People First England, which represents people with learning disabilities Bringing Us Together, which represents families Housing & Support Alliance, which represents community organisations and professionals Over the next few months we want as many people and organisations as possible to join us. There are three kinds of members: Sponsors, Organisational members and Individual members. Sponsors If you are an organisation that can contribute time, money or expertise to the Learning Disability Alliance we’d love to hear from you. You would become one of our sponsor and you will be named and thanked on the website and in other literature we produce. You will also be an organisational member. How you can contribute: Venues for meetings Travel expenses Research, writing and editing Easy read resources Printing and Desktop publication Public relations Lobbying Social media Web development and hosting And much else besides Organisational members Does your organisation primarily support people with learning disabilities to advocate for themselves? Does your organisation primarily support families of people with learning disabilities? Does your organisation provide assistance to people with learning disabilities? Individual members Are you someone with a learning disability? Are you a family member of someone with a learning disability? Are you are professional or other interested citizen?
