People: I am not an avid sports follower by any means, but this under inflated football thing is getting out of hand. Please understand that if the balls were truly under by 2 pounds of air thats PRESSURE, not WEIGHT. 2 pressurized pounds per square inch of good old fashioned air when measured at sea level weighs about 5 grams, the weight of two pennies. Yes pressurized air has weight, but its also buoyant in the atmosphere so any excess pressure has the static pressure in its surroundings subtracted from its total mass. Please think about this when you consider how much easier it would be to throw a football that measures 2 pounds less. Its more likely that a faulty pressure gauge caused the balls to be under inflated than someone intentionally putting less air in them to win a game lol.
