People. I read a story today about someones vegan kitten almost dying of malnutrition. So, just so you know: Dogs are called opportunistic carnivores. They love meat more than they need meat. They often survive, in the wild, on berries and grains, etc. If you are very very careful, you can have a healthy vegetarian dog. Probably not a vegan one, though. Cats are TRUE carnivores and cannot...CANNOT get sufficient nutrients from a vegan or even a vegetarian, diet. If you cannot give an animal what they need, to be healthy....DONT HAVE AN ANIMAL.
