People. Last year, our electricity bill was $550 each month from May through September. This year, May was at $500; June was at $650; and July blew our brains out with an $800 amount due (I drive a 2003 Chevy Malibu; can you imagine the Lexus or the like I could get for that kind of payment??). Then our crippled A/C went out. The August bill came in: It dropped to $200. STARS. CELEBRATION!!! WAHOO!!! While Im staring at the 91 degrees that is my kitchen at this moment (no worries - the house cools off over night and we enjoy 69-75 until about 2pm during the day), I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL SUMMER IS OVER. Dear heat, I am done. Dear September, I LOVE YOU. You are MY FAVORITE MONTH more than ever. I am ready. I am simply ready. 98 Degrees today. If I had my choice, as painful as it would be, Id listen to the band over enduring the weather over and over and over again. (It cools off to about 78 by bedtime - which just shows that Im a whiner. Nevertheless... ) Anyway, um. So. I am GRATIFIED, if not GRATEFUL, for the lower bill, but CANT WAIT for next year when it may be possible to replace the whole contraption. Yippee. Skippee. Dippitee-DO. See. Im going to be soooooooo easy to live with when I hit menopause. RIGHT?!!! MWAhahahahahahahahahahahaha.
