People are Paying Three large U.S. insurers have said that between 80% and 90% of their new customers who enrolled through the Affordable Care Acts exchanges have paid their first months premiums, according to prepared testimony for todays House Energy and Commerce Committee panel hearing. Such figures are contrary to a report released in late April that claimed only two-thirds of the individuals who make up the Obama administrations total enrollment figures had paid their first months premiums. According to health insurance executives, the report only took into account individuals who had to pay their first months premium by April 15 and not the many people who had until April 30 to make their payment.
