People are funny. I’m funny. We often say things like, “Well, here I am. Having to endure another day on the job.” Or, “I just don’t know how long I can endure my daughter and her teen years.” And one, rarely used by me…as I am rarely putting myself in this position, “Man! I don’t know if I can endure this work out!” We use the word “endure” like we really know what it means. We are funny. Here’s what my friend, the dictionary, has to say about the word: “Endure – to remain firm under suffering or misfortune without yielding.” So, you know who truly understands what it means to “endure?” The one who loves us, even when we use, abuse, neglect and reject him. Over and over and over. For this, the only thing he should ever have to endure, when it comes to us, is our praise. Eternally. “Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.” I Chronicles 16:34 – Lord, you suffer – for what many would call – the misfortune of loving us. Let us live lives that say, “thank you,” with every breath, thought, word and deed. Holding out and onto hope, KyAnne (My Daily Disappearance)
