People are overreacting to DOH Acting Sec Garin and CSAFP Gen Catapangs visit to our troops from Liberia quarantined in Caballo Island. Some senators even suggest that Sec Garin should wear protective suit when she attends the Senate deliberations of DOH budget for next year. How ridiculous is that! These people are so afraid of the unknown they appear to me as stupid. Why dont they emulate Obama who not only met but hugged a person who was diagnosed of Ebola! Here was the most powerful (well, second most powerful) in the world not afraid of the possibility that he may contact the deadly virus from a person who was apparently cured of it but might still carry the pathogen. Which reminds me how I admire people who are not afraid of death. Because it only shows that they are strong spiritually and they dont hold on to the material world (and in case of politicians, power). Alas, what does it say about our politicians!
