People are very much confused about Science. Especially Indian - TopicsExpress

People are very much confused about Science. Especially Indian Nationalists, may be because of the pride that Scientists from this land made many contributions in ancient times esp at fundamental level. Let me share my thoughts. Science has no Nationality. Pure science does/need not even care for humanity, it is just about unveiling the nature. It is technology which makes use of scientific principles for the benefit of mankind. And in this regard, at present we are mostly dependent on contribution from the west including this fb usage (It is wrong to say so, as science is global, but those who are proud about Indian science should be aware of the facts). Yes it is a fact that there were great scientists in India. but I respect all scientists irrespective of their nationality. In ancient time, the environment in India (the administration) was so apt to encourage science, arts, music, literature etc. That is why they flourished here. but it is a fact that later, India lost that environment because of many reasons. That is the reason many science and academic oriented people migrate to other parts of the world where knowledge is valued and respected. It is the state which has to support science with proper funding. Now, things are changing and hopefully science will flourish here with great contributions. What is great about Bharath is its culture (culture varies from region to region whereas science is border-less). Culture includes all aspects of life.. way of living, family values, morality, spirituality, food, languages, arts, social system, philosophy, martial arts and so on...Ours is the rich culture which says Let knowledge and noble thoughts come from everywhere, The whole world is one family, Let everybody in the world be happy.. and so on... And this is the only culture which won the test of time keeping its splendidness and unity in diversity.
