People ask me, why does your firm rent out movies theaters, - TopicsExpress

People ask me, why does your firm rent out movies theaters, sponsor local events like the Milan Zombie Walk or take 15 kids and their parents to see the Nutcracker. Well, it’s simple. We looked up one day and had to make decisions about how we were promoting our office. We could either continue with the marketing we were doing or we could move into a more aggressive marketing campaign like some firms do with TV marketing. After Jimbo and I talked, it occurred to me that we could start using that marketing budget to make our community a better place. We could either throw that money blindly at the typical charities or we could invest some time as well and do the things that we enjoy with other people. And let me be honest; I hate golf. If you love it, I am happy for you, but it is not what gives me happiness. What gives me happiness is seeing the excitement in kids eyes as they see a ballet for the first time and love it; to see families getting to see a movie together in a premiere setting where the kids feel like they are special and the parents can relax and have fun; sending a couple out to a Valentine Dinner at Crown Winery; and, yes, putting on Zombie makeup with people who love that sort of thing to raise food contributions for Gibson County Schools. Every day we see cases where marriages are ending, children are hungry or abused, our client has been horrifically injured, or someone in the community didn’t reach an individual early enough and get them interested in a passion before they ended up accused of a criminal offense. That is why we do these things: because I would rather have an impact “in” our community than “on” our community. I would rather be involved and see 300 people have a great time as opposed to seeing our name in the paper, or on a TV ad. People also always ask what they can do to help. It’s simple. Support businesses like us. Not just us. If other firms start doing the same thing, please support them too. That’s why we work with other local businesses that follow this business model like brandy kemp Photography, L & T Cakery, Inc., Milan Ritz, the Humboldt Plaza and Artz Underground. With the money this firm makes we are able to allocate part of those resources to do more events and help more people. Most of our cases come from referrals where someone says, “Hey, I know these guys and they will help you.” That is why Facebook likes are important to us. We would love to reach thousands of likes all over West Tennessee and start doing events on a larger scale. It is an easy way for you to pass us along to folks. If you have been to one of the events we have sponsored let us know that you like what we are doing by sharing this post and asking your friends to like our page. And always feel free to let us know when there are ideas you have for something we can do. It is an exciting time to live in West Tennessee. Cordially, Brandon L.
