People at work think that because I am a northerner I can drive in this crap. Guess what kids, Rule one of driving in this crap is: Dont be an idiot. After noting the ice and hilly nature of my commute, also lack of 4 wheel drive, I decided to stay home. Honestly there isnt a grain of salt on our road and I am not shoveling my street to get out and work at a hotel. They should not have waited until I called last night during the worst of the storm and offered me a room. I wasnt going to go out when the only vehicles I saw out my window were ATVs. Just saying. Fail work! Fail. It was different when I worked at the group home or with the elderly. Someone really depended on me to take care of them. I think hotel guests are a bit more capable of taking care of themselves. If they are not then they should not be traveling alone. My only regret is not getting to have my daily chat with my regulars, I do look forward to that. I have never even called out sick in the years I have been there. This is my hooky day. And I am feeling like Lord of the Rings or some Quentin Tarantino movies and Star Wars: The Old Republic
