People become ungrateful when they expect something for nothing. That’s always the poison that get’s released in relationships where expectations exceed the willingness to actually reach out in the midst of the pain and bless the person causing it. A victim is incapable of doing this because their primary focus is on what is in it for them. This is so contrary to Biblical standard that it’s more blessed to give than receive and do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
