People can say what they want about the #RedSox trades yesterday. The way I look at it is 24 hours ago I was losing interest in the team. They are all but out of the playoff hunt and for the most part the team was not playing well at all. I wasnt going out of my way to watch all of the games which I hate to admit. Fast forward to tonight and I found myself checking twitter every few minutes to see if there is an update on the new players. Im beyond looking forward to the game to see Anthony Ranaudos major league debut. I cant wait until Yoenis Céspedes Milanés launches his first bomb over the monster and if Allen Craig can solidify himself as our left-fielder of the future. I am excited to watch the dynamic defensive duo of Cespedes and Jackie Bradley Jr. Who the heck is going to run on those two guys (combined 24 assists between them both). We may be almost out of playoff contention but in a lot of ways you can argue the end of the season will be just as exciting regardless of the standings. Lester, Gomes, etc will all be missed but these were the right moves to make and I think all Red Sox fans will see that in the near future. As you can tell Im very optimistic considering I just wrote a book! So you guys know my stance... what side of the fence are you on? Do you think we should have kept Lester? Will only time tell if these were truly good moves or not? Boston fans have never been shy so lets hear your thoughts on the direction of baseball in Boston!
