People do a double take when they walk past Nice’s cage, looking back to check that a real live bear is NOT in the Manhattan AC&C. No, it’s our buddy Nice who has taken up residence in the noisy kennel & he is indeed a downright pleasant fellow who is doing the best he can to cope with bad circumstances. Nice would adore a soothing summer haircut, but what he’s going to get instead is a walk to the Euthanasia Room. He’s a 9-year-old Chow Chow and he did amazingly well for his breed when tested for temperament. Considering the stress of being surrendered by his family into the upsetting kennel - well he’s a rare wonder of a dog. Nice could be feeling a bit better physically as he shows a few symptoms of a dog who experiences an occasional seizure. His eyes & teeth need to be treated by a veterinarian as well. Let’s not let Nice die alone tomorrow.
