People follow the same God, same religion, same prophet (and same caliphs in many cases) and from the same country are killing each other and torturing each other in the most brutal way because of political differences (e.g pro and anti Morsi). If this is how people are in the 21st century then how did our Messenger and his Ahlulbayt cope with the people of their time (May Allah bless their souls). Just look at the state of our countries; the other day an Iraqi manager got beaten to death with some of his players for whatever reason, people getting blown up everyday in Iraq, people in Syria and Egypt being tortured inhumanely when caught by the opposite group (they know no age or gender e.g. Hassan Shahate who could barely walk up the stairs gets dragged in the streets), Bahrain is another story, those in Saudi we know nothing about them. Islam teaches us to respect others and to give others the wright to practice their religion when they are in an Islamic country and yet people are killing and disfiguring bodies of others because of a difference in opinion no matter how small or big it is. May Allah help us reach that stage were we will be able to welcome our Imam so that the time for him to come will be close.
