People forget things. It happens every weekend. Here at the Oaks Bed and Breakfast it’s small things; reading glasses, cell phone chargers and reading material. We deal with it. Most Mondays he postmistress on Main Street expects me to show with these items packaged to be returned to their rightful owners. So when I sprinted up the stairs to begin my house keeping ritual, I noticed a book lying on the bed. I picked it up and read the title: Signs of Struggle—A Thomas O’Shea Mystery. Then, turning to the inside cover I noticed the inscription; “For Dale and Donna – In appreciation for a fine and lovely weekend…” The signature and the author’s names matched. The Author’s portrait confirmed it. This gift will be savored and enjoyed and will become a cherished part of our collection. Most of all, we are thankful for the company of gracious, generous and kind visitors such as these.
