People have asked me if I was surprised by the verdict and my answer is "no." My father was killed, my uncle was killed, my cousin was killed and none of them were doing anything wrong at the time yet not one soul was ever prosecuted let alone arrested in any of these cases. I have watched countless African American youth get sentenced to twice as many years as youth from other races who committed the same crime. And I have watched the injustices between the have and have nots all my life. So again I say "no" I am not surprised. I have absolutely no faith in our legal system but I have complete faith in my God.
