People have asked me why dont I make more heavy ponchos or hats with earflaps... well, I guess its because I live in San Diego (Chula Vista to be exact) and our weather averages 72 degrees year round.. I just dont even think about it. Yup, its super expensive to live here but then I can be at the beach in 10 minutes or less and swim in the pool in November and December. We bought our home 22 years ago so that helps. Ive never done well in cold weather. What is the temperature where you live. Today here it is 75 Degrees.
