Keep those questions coming. What students can expect this summer: What is conservatory style training? Students will receive conservatory style training all day every day, in a safe and nurturing environment. Our core classes include Music, Theatre, Dance and Theatre Design. Our students will understand the true meaning of what exploring a career in the performing arts entails. All stages of ability are important to us. Enhancing abilities, while promoting creativity and a healthy self-esteem are crucial values of the Directors and Instructors at On Broadway-PATP What is a Master Teacher? What makes On Broadway-PATP special is the infusion of amazing Master Class teachers the program has available. Additionally, the array of Master Teachers includes Broadway Directors, renowned Playwrights, and Theatre Management specialists. Our Master Class teachers are currently working in reputable Regional Theatres Film, Television and on Broadway. They have devoted themselves to this program. What is a Master Class? A Master Class is a class given to students of a particular discipline by an expert of that discipline. Master classes are intertwined within the program’s daily routine for all three weeks. Parents/guardians will be given a schedule of the master classes for all three weeks and invited to ALL master classes. In fact, even if you only enrolled in one week, but want to audit master classes during other weeks – we welcome you to come and watch! We want parents/guardians to be involved and see what we are offering! Daily curriculum implementation includes (all age appropriate): Taught by our Core Teachers. Theatre - Improvisation, Scene Structure, Theatre History, Methods of Acting Music – Music Theory, Choral Singing, Vocal Performance, Music History Dance - Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Musical Theatre, Dance History Theatre Arts - Stagecraft, Design, Puppeteering, Storytelling, Creative Writing Summer Camp Fun is also included in ALL classes! Every program day ends with a structured and creative ensemble rehearsal. All students will come together to share and rehearse for the final presentation. This school-wide final performance will occur at the end of the third-week session and will be open to parents/guardians and invited industry professionals... including managers, casting directors and Broadway performers who support and endorse On Broadway-PATP.
