People have been sickened throughout the country from parasites in those precut prebagged salads a lot of us buy and consume. Since the health authorities refuse to reveal the companies and brand names concerned, I will be avoiding this product for the rest of the Summer. I guess the wise thing to do is buy your head of lettuce and wash it, and trim it yourself. Obviously the health officials are more interested in protecting Dole [or whoever] than us.
