People have had some crazy stuff to me since I was diagnosed with cancer. Everything from Its because you live near power lines to Its because you drink too much coffee. I once had a guy say That haircut makes you look like you have cancer. When I responded, Thats because I do, he just looked at me sternly and said, Smoker, huh? Ugh. But most people are kind and concerned and often people just dont know what to do or say. I mean there is no handbook, but this article is a great start. And by the way, whatever you say from the heart is just fine by me. Especially if its I hear hot fudge sundaes are the best cure or even better, Lets go shopping!
