People, its Financial Literacy Month! Im posting tips all month long to help YOU become a smarter saver, spender, and investor...and you probably didnt learn this in school, even if youre a finance major! Heres tip #2. The closer we get to summer, the higher gas prices will go. This is a consistent vicious cycle every year, and global events dont make it any easier during the rest of the year. All of you who drive on a daily basis (99% of my FB friends) may have noticed gas prices inching up almost every day over the last 3 weeks. Advice: fill up your gas tank as much as you can. All the way if you can, and then top it off some more...I promise gas wont squirt out on your new music festival shirt. Your only $30/fill strategy is not saving you money, and in the scheme of things, the difference adds up to quite a bit of cash you could be spending at the bar....or dumping in your savings account ;) Fill your tanks, friends, these prices are not going lower. Dont be surprised if your favorite Arco station is hitting $5/gallon in June. Have a fun and safe weekend.
