People may say, “I have provocative views” and that’s fine - TopicsExpress

People may say, “I have provocative views” and that’s fine with me. Nevertheless, I believe a lot of these Prosperity Evangelists who are living lavish lifestyles are preaching a message that does not conform to how the average person lives or biblical precepts and have disillusioned many people. Truth is, most of these “so-called” Evangelists base their preaching on non- traditional interpretations of the Bible, often over emphasizing the Book of Malachi. This makes it easier for them to get you to come out your pockets with A Little Somethin. Don’t get me wrong; I believe God shows favor to the righteous by giving them wealth and prosperity. Yes, parts of the Old Testament like in the Book of Proverbs make statements to the effect that God shows favor to the righteous by giving them wealth. Also, it is generally true that obedience and faithful stewardship lead to prosperity in all aspects of life. However, it is really silly for any one person to presume on this rule of thumb, or to make demands of God. On top of that, nowhere in the Bible does it say, “God will bless everyone with material wealth and health for making financial donations to Christian ministries!” Fire in the hole ~ Chris Clark “Dismantling Satan’s Kingdom Brick by Brick”
