People need to read this. This is about the legislation that the HSUS is pushing to try to legislate puppy mills. "Great!" you may say, but this is HSUS trying to get a "foothold" in legislation to try to push their PUPS legislation. PUPS will apply to hobby breeders and smaller breeders. This is the beginning of the extinction of domestic animals.....if the HSUS and PETA have their way. Some of you may think that I am believing in a "conspiracy theory" of sorts, but the way the groups are operating is that they get their animal loving supporters to protest AKC dog shows and harass exhibitors, breeders and spectators. They want to promote the adoption of shelter dogs and chant things like "for every one you buy, one will die" and while their cause may seem noble and nobody wants to see unwanted dogs in shelters being put to sleep, what PETA and HSUS are doing in the background are raking in tons and tons of donations to pay their legal teams and professional Lobbying teams of people to try to take away the rights of commercial breeders (through APHIS) and then private breeders (through PUPS). Think about it...you start eliminating breeding and people HAVE to adopt from shelters...this is good for the shelter dogs, but since they are all spayed and neutered, how long before there are no more dogs. DO NOT send donations to the HSUS and PETA. They do not operate shelters, despite what they would have you think. PETA takes in animals and euthanizes them, even the healthy ones. They kill over 95% of the animals they take in because their core philosophy is to prevent suffering by giving them the ultimate freedom from human cruelty (never matter that the animals may find GREAT homes, it might be a bad home so kill them all). The Humane Society of the US does not run shelters, not a single one. All of the shelters calling themselves Humane Societies in various cities across the US are not affiliated, they are locally operated and run with no assistance from the HSUS. Of all of the HSUS donations, only about 1% actually get to shelters. Wayne Pacelle, president of the HSUS is quoted as saying the following - “We have no ethical obligation to preserve the different breeds of livestock produced through selective breeding …One generation and out. We have no problems with the extinction of domestic animals. They are creations of human selective breeding.” Animal People News May 1993 - “I don’t want to see another cat or dog born.” Bloodties 1994 PLEASE do not support PETA or HSUS, donate money to local shelters and rescues instead as that money will actually go towards the shelter animals. Please get the word out and get yourself heard regarding the APHIS and PUPS legislations. If you want to have your pet dogs and want your children and grandchildren to be able to grow up with animals, please do it!
