People need to understand that devolution isnt what its being made out to be. The first issue is that devolution is something that has to be passed through Parliament, including many back bench tory MPs who have already declared that they would vote against it. The second issue is that it can take up to 8 years to implement. We dont have 8 years. By that time, the Barnett Formula would be dead in the water, tax prices will have shot up to try and make up for the budget deficit and the number of foodbanks will have shot through the roof. The 3rd issue and perhaps the most important one of all is that even if devolved powers did eventually get passed through, they could be revoked at any time and there would be nothing that we could do to stop it. So I ask people, when youre standing in that booth about to make arguably the biggest decision of your life. Be sure that you understand the impacts of both sides of the vote, not just what the BBC are telling you right now.
