People of Hong Kong have shown the Central government what it has known for years: its greatest enemy is not some foreign powers like America or Japan, but the Chinese people itself. While I would concede that many things the Communist Party did in China have contributed to the stability of the country, we are reaching a turning point: does the government trust its citizens enough to allow them to participate in governing? What the Central government fear is not whether Hong Kong can have real a election or not, but if it succeed in Hong Kong, it can be emulated across the rest of China. Those who are in charge know their dirty laundry will be aired, their power and influence crumble if this is allowed to happen; therefore, they cement their positions by making laws and stacking cards against the people they draw power from! We cannot sit by and allow our rights be chipped away while our voice fades away. If we dont fight for our rights, those in power will not relinquish it! #OccupyCentral
