People of #Oakland, in the wake of #Ferguson, please pay attention to what has happened right here at home. When #Oakland police officer Miguel Masso murdered innocent 18yo Alan Blueford in an instance of racial profiling, the #Justice4AlanBlueford coalition formed. One of our missions was to help the Blueford family find out the truth about what happened to their son on May 6, 2012--the family was actively being denied the truth by OPD & Oakland City Council. Dan Siegel was not only the familys lawyer in their suit against the city for the wrongful death of their son, he was also a main activist in the #J4AB coalition, he was at the city council meeting you see in the video, he was also at every city council meeting where the Blueford family & the community repeatedly had to go to fight to get the truth about what Miguel Masso did to Alan Blueford--without this fight, the outright & blatant lies that Masso told would have stood as the truth. Dan Siegel for Oakland stood on the side of The People & of Justice in this fight. Oakland Mayor Jean Quan, Jean Quan for Oakland Mayor 2014, Rebecca Kaplan, Rebecca Kaplan, Libby Schaaf for Mayor of Oakland, Libby Schaaf were all 100% complicit in helping to keep the truth from Alans family.
