People often ask my views on marriage.. They forget that I was also married so my views on marriage may be partial , but they are not.. If you hold any particular view on anything it becomes ugly. . I say marriage is neither good or bad.. It is how you take it and how you make it. For Shankarachrya, it was bad because then he would have not been able to touch such high spiritual dimensions in his life. But for Buddha it was good because Buddha would never have been Buddha, if Yashodhara would have not been there in his life.. Poet Tulsialso could not have been able to opt a spiritual path , had Ratnawali would not have come in his life as wife. . . I also would not have been swami from a servent if marriage would not given me such a deep the insight about life... . So all choices and all judgements may be both good or bad.. Swami Shukla
