People often ask why Im so tough on my children? My answer is simple. Im their parent not their friend. It is my greatest job. My kids are my legacy. The greatest thing I can pass on to my kids is making them comfortable in uncomfortable situations. Showing them that discipline , hard work and doing what others wont is they key to success. I dont spoil my children with gifts. I spoil them with obligation. I spoil them with discipline. I spoil them with making them do things that they normally wouldnt want to do. Its called habit building. Your children become what you show them and do for them. If you do to much or give to much without work it damages them. So when people ask why? Thats why. They have to be able to take care of themselves. I nor their mother will be here forever. And being mediocre isnt acceptable. Mediocrity cant handle the unforgiving world. It gets destructed by it. No when they are young turns into yes in their lives. They make the yes. And one day they will thank you for it. Trust me
