People say cops never get PTSD, or never have to go to war, or deployments etc, yes that may be true, but they do have PTSD, and while soldiers deploy every few years for 6 months or 12 months at a time. We have cops who go out EVERY NIGHT all year EVERY year. They get shot at, beat up, and not counting calls to homes or car accidents seeing decapitated babies with their body left in the carseat.i know someone who has, while they had to try finding the babys head off on the site. Or seeing mothers stabbing her son because he wouldnt stop crying so she cut his guts out, I know Someone who has. Or being called out to a baby stuffed in a closet under a pile of clothes to sufforcate, my husband HAS. Or called out to a father suicidal and his kids holding his legs outside crying to jot do it and I know someone who witnessed him blowing his head off with his kids holding onto him. i know someone who has witnessed a much as a cop but because as as soldier he has never deployed like my ex husband has, he is thought to not know what traumatic things are. Im sorry to tell yall but cops have it far worse. While youre over their in your base camp on the Internet talking to whores on dating sites or on fb with your wives all cozy up because you dont gave a mission going on, we have cops out patroling, chasing, shooting or being shot at or witnessed a murder or a dead body numerous times a night every night not knowing if they will make it home each night they are out all year every year. Reconize, realize, support. And RESPECT your officers. They may just be who saves your life some day!!!
