People say if reincarnation is true then we should be able to remember our past lives. How much of your childhood from conception to age 4 can you remember? Do you remember life in your mothers womb? Birth? Getting slapped on the butt by the obstetrician? Circumcision? Sucking milk from a breast? Your first step? Your first word? The first time you tasted solid food? Potty training? The first time you got scolded or spanked? The first pet you were close to? Your first day at a nursery? Your first day of school? Did your parents and grand parents take lots of pictures of you as a baby or toddler that you look at and remember your thoughts when the picture was being taken? Okay, if thats too hard...what did you have for lunch 2 weeks ago? Try to think of the very first thing you CLEARLY remember doing in this life. Does that mean you didnt exist before that first solid memory? I have virtually no clear memories before I started school at age six. Remembering them is like recalling a dream. I have had memories of one of my past lives (in Germany around 1800) and another life I saw very clearly during a hypnotic regression when I was at a seminar for behavioral scientists in 1975. There are now hundreds of psychologists and hypnotists around the world who conduct regression therapy so people can remember not only their past lives but also their experiences in between lives, a period which may last hundreds of Earth years. The fact is, we remember very little of this life. Theres a very good reason for that...and an EVEN better reason for not being able to remember our past lives, of which most of us have had dozens or even hundreds. If it were not for the mechanism of forgetfulness, our minds would quickly become so cluttered with minutia that we wouldnt be able to focus on NOW. If you doubt me, sit down and try to remember everything thats ever happened to you in this life. Let me know how that works out for you...okay? ;)
