People should not violate another persons rights. This is obvious. There is a man, carrying a concealed pistol in a bar, sitting by himself and no one else is in the bar except the bar tender. Then a lady walks in and sits next to the man and they somehow got on the topic of guns. He explains he always carries just in case. She was adamant that she does not like guns and does NOT think they should be used in offense or defense. Man: But what happens if someone tries to rape you? Woman: Dont you watch the news? I will just tell him it is not right to do that. Man: But what if he continues to violate you? Woman: Geez you must never watch the news. I will just pee in my pants and he will be disgusted and walk away. Man: OK 10 minutes later, the bar tender goes in the back. At that same time a lunatic criminal walks in the bar waving a gun and goes straight to the lady. The criminal demands her money and she gives it to him. The armed man was just sitting there. But money was not enough, the criminal starts to rape her. She asks him not to rape her and he continues. She pees herself and the criminal continues. The bar tender comes out from the back and immediately dials 911. The entire time the armed man just sits there?! The criminal finishes and then shoots the woman in the head and walks out. 5 minutes later the cops show up Cop: You have a gun? Why didnt you draw your gun and shoot the criminal? You were sitting right there and did nothing. Man: She WAS against guns and did not like them to be used in any way. I was not going to stop an armed lunatic criminal that is armed with a gun, using my bare hands. Not a true story. Moral to the story, Respect others rights People have the right to NOT have guns. That is fine. But everyone has the right to protect themselves, just like her. How do you want to protect those you love? Do you want to pee in your pants or stop the violator with appropriate force? Your choice and your right. It is your right to NOT carry a gun. That is NO way gives you the right or authority to take away my right to protect myself.
