People told me that I was crazy for bringing Jaden here to Virginia with with everything that is going on. Well I must tell everybody that that his the best decisions I have made! With so many people coming in and out and so many different things happening at the same time...I find that having a tiny kitten finds common ground with everyone here. She is just beginning to play and wonder around her surroundings. She actually follows me when I walk. I have some adorable pictures that I want to share with you all when I get back home. With everybody that was here this afternoon and evening all talking at the same time it seemed, I found a quiet spot in the corner of the kitchen to just hold her while she slept. She lay in my hand and on my arm like a baby (which she is) and little did I realize that we had sat quietly in the same position, staring out at the pool that my dad built himself, turning many shovels over until it was finished, and before I realized it, I had sat there over an hour. Just me and this tiny little kitten so warm and soft and needy. Something that somebody just tossed out of a moving car window like trash. My dad was a big animal lover too. As is my mom. So I guess what I am telling you is that whenever you have a tragic situation that you think that your animals will be in the way; think twice, because they just could be the very thing that helps you get through all the madness and sadness and quite possibly be the one thing that keeps you grounded.
