People turned out in numbers for the past four days at the Yellow Ribbon tent at Suvas Albert Park during the week- long 2014 Vodafone Hibiscus Festival. Located at the corner near the Tennis Club along Ratu Cakobau Road, the tent is a one stop area for those wanting to enjoy hot meals as well as buy products on sale from the various institutions of the Fiji Corrections Service. Many were also drawn to the entertainment from fourteen Nasinu Corrections inmates with their lively dances who have been entertaining the crowd at the Yellow Ribbon tent. Members of the public were also captivated with the live music from the Corrections Dance Jazz Band as they enjoyed their meals. The response from the public has been very positive as they have been purchasing items like wooden chests, walking sticks, coffee table, bags, caps and vegetables from Naboro farm. All the items on display have been created by the inmates themselves. The FCS also wished to extend an invitation to members of the public to come and witness for themselves and enjoy the services provided at our Yellow Ribbon Tent and also support our Yellow Ribbon initiative of giving ex-offenders a second chance.
