People updates Vernices brother, Ronnie Frye, got along GREAT with the kidney transplant! His kidney was already producing urine yesterday, and he was able to call Vernice himself!! Ronnie is also Dicie Powells son-in-law. Marci Daviss grandmother, Marthalene, passed away recently. Barry and Debbie Hamilton leave Sunday for Cleveland with Wanda Hammett for 3 days of extensive heart evaluations. She is still slowly recovering from her stroke and partial blindness. Dick Shingler is still in pain from shingles and kidney stones. He hopes to be back with us Sunday. Dicie Powell is feeling better and hopes to return on a Sunday fairly soon. Hilda Gault is feeling somewhat better and has her coughing under better control. She said she can’t get out much at night but hopes to be with us on Sunday mornings. She has a visit with a pulmonologist later this month. Jeff Robinson has had a few rough days at the end of the week. He has a few more days left on his antibiotics. He is on full time oxygen and in home physical therapy. Carrie says her dad is doing ok but just can’t drive. Debbie Seese answered my call today in Columbus! She is still in Grant hospital after having surgery earlier this week on her knee and the bone above it. The surgery went well and she is in for lots of physical therapy. She is also receiving treatment for her heart and kidneys. Martha Hockenberry had her second stress testing yesterday and will be receiving test results next week. Dave returns to the doctor next week regarding the cellulitis issue he previously had. James “Port” Powell goes next Tuesday to Cleveland for surgery or more testing. Frank and Carolyn Powell appreciate your prayers, calls, and concerns. Carolyn is awaiting gallbladder removal surgery later in November at Marietta Memorial and she meets with a anesthesiologist next week. Larry Barnhart had his visit to Columbus postponed this week and he is still awaiting test results. John Nichols has had a good week for all that is he going through. He has been on radiation treatments once daily since Monday, and Janet and he appreciate all your cards, phone calls, prayers and visits. Jeanie Powell and Mary Ann Wolfe are still receiving cancer treatments but holding up ok. Bricia Shultz is still battling tonsillitis and having to stay home from school. Harley Stewart lost his home to a fire earlier this week. We hope that he can be with us again soon. We are in the process of finding out what we can do to best serve him and his mother.
