People want the latest mobile, and theres still enough innovation in them to justify upgrades”… how is that not a contradiction of the overall premise? The iPhone 5S is a good example, although it’s been superseded, it still rates as one of the best phones out there. There were massive leaps in processing power with the 4S, the 5, and the 5S, and it’s only with the 6 that the rate has slowed. (It’s only 20% faster than the 5S). The reality is that most people get a new phone every 2 years with their contract renewal. If you want to keep using an older phone, there’s nothing stopping you. Oh wait, you want to use the latest software and apps? Can’t have your cake and eat it too, there’s no free lunch, . Why do they never get a Professor of Engineering to comment on topics around manufacturing? #facepalm
