People who have known me a long time have said... You were always happy. This is true, I tend to look at the bright side. But there is definitely a difference between happiness and JOY. Happiness is altered by external circumstances. When things didnt work right or bills came due that I couldnt pay, or people hurt me, the happiness fades. Joy is not impacted my whats going on around me. Why? Because I know that I know that I know that everything will be ok. That faith in the One who made me (and you); knowing that only good and perfect gifts come from Him. I know that when the storms rage, theyre only temporary. Keeping my eyes on Jesus in the midst of a storm is key. Remember Peter? He walked on the water but as soon as he took his eyes off Jesus and looked at the waves, he began sink. I know that anything that is designed to steal my joy, will not prosper. So in all things, I can smile, knowing that He has me! Light-seeds are planted in the souls of God’s people, Joy-seeds are planted in good heart-soil. So, God’s people, shout praise to GOD, Give thanks to our Holy God!
