People who have known me for awhile know that I have been Ebolaphobic long before it was hip to be Ebolaphobic. Managing an irrational fear of bleeding to death out of every orifice of my body for over a decade has given me a particular perspective... 1) Yes, lets quarantine Dallas--as a major metropolitan area with poorly defined boundaries, that should be easy to quarantine (and because, you know, Dallas) 2) That Nigeria (an undeveloped country of 147 million) and Senegal (an undeveloped country of 13 million) were able to contain their incidences of Ebola within a month should not give us any hope that the CDC and Dallas (with its well developed medical center) will able to achieve the same (because, you know, Dallas) 3) I think Mr. Duncan might be an idiot, and maybe just a bit inconsiderate--traveling internationally right after having specifically carrying someone known to be infected with Ebola (seriously, wtf dude?) 4) The nurse who did not initially quarantine Mr. Duncan is CLEARLY an idiot--maybe Dallass medical center isnt so developed after all (because, you know, Dallas)
