People who love dogs, children, and books will want to know about their new neighbor, SitStayRead. They are a not-for-profit that brings dogs into Chicago Public School classrooms to help struggling young readers develop critical early literacy skills. To understand how they do that, watch the video at abc7chicago/201735/. And if you’re interested in volunteering with them (with or without a dog), you can visit them online at sitstayread.org, or visit their new offices at 2849 N. Clark.
