People who name bars and nite clubs are surely something else. They always come up with interesting names that wil stick in your mind like glue. Think of one called Nairobi Nights. What are nights in Nairobi Kenya like? Wish I knew. Back in the day we had one hot place called Jobs Nite Spot where they played ragga music before it became dancehall, the days of Shabba Ranks, Lady Patra and the like. The owner of the place was not named Job and neither was his father nor his grandad. So who was this Job? Was he the biblical one? Some of these places are named in a way that makes you feel like you are someone of note and you loosen yr purse. Think of one which used to go by the name Stars at the Rainbow towers. Once you are in there you spend and you drink in a way Jimi Hendrix must have done before he died. At stars you behave like rockstar! If there was a competition for the funniest bar name then Asina Hembe bar at Machipisa shopping centre wld win it hands down. One wonders in what state the drinkers are when they finally reach home from that bar...
