People who say Ill buy you a new one and then move on sincerely bother me. Like, unless the item of mine that you broke is brand-spankin-new or extremely generic, theres no way youll find an exact copy or something that magically has all the sentimental value of the old one. And having money to replace things should NOT be a reason for you to feel okay about breaking other peoples things. Its not yours, you dont know what it means to them, admit that youre in the wrong. Or how about you just respect them enough to take care of them in the first place? If you really feel terrible and do the best you can to make up for it, thats one thing. And people are clumsy, it happens. Im not saying that holding a grudge is okay either, but cmon, show a little more maturity and selflessness than a spoiled five year old.
