People who think teachers only work 9 months a year must have never been involved in Band, Sports, Drama, or Clubs because I was involved in these things and my teachers would volunteer hundreds of extra hours, late into the night, on weekends to make these things happen. Yall need to stop drinking the Lieberal Koolaid and realize teachers actually work harder than most of us - they have to make individual lesson plans for all their students, pay hundreds sometimes well over a thousand per year in school supplies, train the EAs - all in classes that are too large - And on top of it they volunteer many of their weekends and evenings making sure these programs happen. Just want you teachers to know- many of us understand how hard you work and appreciate how much you sacrifice for the good of childrens enrichment. You are worth every penny and even more. Anyone who slags such a noble profession needs to give their head a shake. I love teachers. Without you I would not have gotten to where Im at today. Thank you for doing such wonderful work. Pity our Premier doesnt see it that way.
