People will say this is an isolated case. That may be so. But one cant help but ask: Where did the Church go wrong? What happened to our seminary formation? Or is this a case of the Church unable to, or refusing to, level up to current pastoral context and needs? The behavior of Fr. Ubach in the video is only a symptom of a deeper problem among many--not all--members of the clergy: a sense of superiority, a feeling that they are above everybody else, a sense of entitlement. A stark contrast to the pastoral care shown by Pope Francis.
