The explanation is quite simple - any stranger who is willing to risk their own lives for my own safety deserves to be honored, because honestly I dont know how many of us are willing to sacrifice our own lives and leave our families behind for the safety of complete strangers. There is no paycheck in the world that can suffice for that sort of risk. Its an internal quality not all of us posses. This is why I say #ThankyouNYPD.
