Peppermint is one of the oils used in Raindrop and one that I feature in my ‘Discover Essential Oils’ workshop scheduled for 31 August. Places are limited and are filling fast. Call me on 0411 953 824 to register today! Peppermint is in the mint family. It has been found in the tombs of the Ancient Egyptians and in Greece and Rome, it was an everyday part of life. Traditionally, peppermint has been used for upset stomachs, nausea, sore throats, diarrhoea, headaches, toothaches and cramps. The effect of the oil is essentially cooling to the body whether used internally or externally. Thus it can bring down fevers. Peppermint is one of the most effective oils to soothe an upset digestive system. It relieves nausea, pain, distention and flatulence. For the respiratory system, peppermint is supportive making it useful for colds and flu characterised by fever, sore throats and headache. Peppermint also soothes muscle spasms, relieves headaches and is a wonderful pick-me-up for the nervous system. It stimulates and awakens both the nerves and the brain, enhancing concentration and study. Peppermint raises the spirit, it stimulates and soothes, uplifts and calms. Whatever is needed, this fragrance can provide it. It can stimulate the dream time as well, increasing sensitivity, awareness and perception in the dream state. For emotional healing, use peppermint to encourage regeneration, self-acceptance, concentration, vitality and vibrancy. Peppermint has the ability to move us from being ‘unfocused’ to being ‘purposeful’. The patterns of your purpose are embedded deeply within you and truly recognising your purpose can be a transformational and evocative journey. Peppermint assists in reconnecting you to your vital passion, whisking you away upon the winds of purpose. It focuses your desire to extend yourself as a driving force and brings your mind to a place of excellence and symmetry, propelling you forward and upward. Icy, cool, stimulating Peppermint sustains the energy required to maintain an inner attention on your highest potential, bringing balance and focus to your own idea of purpose. When you are living passionately on purpose, the direction of your life will change. Peppermint assists in the digestion of the idea of living a life that is purposefully on track! Lots of good reasons to have regular Raindrops and to attend my upcoming workshop :-)
