Per Business Insider, HSBCs global head of fixed income research, who was among those who predicted an interest rate decline in 2014, believes they will decline further (and bond prices will rise further). David Rosenberg of Gluffkin argues that bonds are in bubble, and are sustaining bubbles in other asset classes. Meanwhile Yales Robert Shiller discounts the idea of a bubble in bonds, arguing that there is none of the enthusiasm that bubbles have, in which significant gains are anticipated by everyone; in bonds, no one believes future gains will match past ones and most anticipated muted returns at best.
