Per Justice Nweze in Dosumu v. NNPC (2014) 6 NWLR (PT.1403)282 Whenever Fed. Govt or its agency like NNPC is sued to State High court, counsels most times raise preliminary objection as to exclusive jurisdiction of Fed. High Court. And d approach by judges like learned trial judge Phillips J. is to act like Pontus Pilate by washing off their hands regardless of d subject matter of d action. When action is for trespass to land, damages& injunction, they donot come under d purview Fed. High court. D trial judge was therefore in error when he chased d appellant away from temple of justice on weak-kneed reasoning dat it had no juridiction.
